The Khudozhestvenny cinema, one of Moscow’s oldest, opened in the early 19th century and is a cultural heritage landmark. The project involved restoring the cinema’s historic exterior, adding F&B areas, and new screening rooms. Key elements like the main hall, foyer, and decorative details were preserved, including the balcony, vault, frieze, and ceiling cornice. Inspired by cinema’s golden age, the auditorium features red velvet seats, warm-toned rugs, and gold accents. New screening rooms maintain this aesthetic with rich tones, while foyers and restaurant areas reflect the elegance of the 1920s, using marble, delicate patterns, and warm lighting for a sophisticated atmosphere.
