One of LRV Studio’s first projects involving heritage was the Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona, an Autograph model by Marriott. Housed in the former cotton market, the building is a classic example of early 19th-century Catalan bourgeois architecture. The first floors feature high ceilings, large windows, and marble stairs, while the upper floors, with lower ceilings, use wood and tile. The studio’s work included preserving and restoring handcrafted elements like mouldings, fireplaces, and the white marble staircase. The hotel design blends contemporary elegance with timeless charm, maintaining the building’s historical essence in both common areas and rooms.
