This project has been one of our biggest challenges. We had to respect the identity of a monumental building while meeting its needs in a contemporary and subtle way. We were inspired by Gaudí and his workshop at the Sagrada Familia, a space of creativity and innovation. From the sinuous roofs of the schools, we created a wooden curtain that surrounds the entrance, bringing warmth without being invasive. The workshop inspired us to design a unique shop where the product is presented among models and plans, transforming the shopping experience into a destination. Finally, for the coal bunker, we designed a staircase that symbolises the essence of Gaudí, connecting spaces in an ethereal way.
